@Roadsterrider One of my sisters is also a nurse and she avoids flu vaccines as well. A few years ago the government mandated that all nurses and doctors get flu vax. They all had a piece of paper signed by another doctor that they were vaxed. They were not. She says the same thing about the covid vax. It hasn't been shown to be safe or effective and doing the work she does she undoubtedly came in contact with the virus and remain asymptomatic. (naturally immune). She and many of her co workers are not getting jabbed.

@hippyjoe1955 We are both 55, the numbers start getting worse at 50 years and then go up dramatically after 65. This virus has been hell for older people, I don't get the flu shot and she doesn't either. I got the J&J vaccine and talked her into getting it because we are older, both diabetic and she has some heart issues. I figured better safe than sorry. Too many people are trying to make it a political issue and ignoring safety.

@Roadsterrider Sadly there is no safe vax and there is no proof that they are effective. There simply has not been enough time to do the research. Not putting anyone down or trying to play politics. I base my objections on science and the lack of science going into these things. Yes they are technological wonders. Are they safe and effective? Well the Titanic was unsinkable too.

@Roadsterrider Just to add to the story. I have a dear friend who is a doctor in a major trauma hospital in the city. He got the vax several months ago. He told me that about 60% of the people he sees in the ER are there because of adverse vax reactions. No he is not given to making wild statements. He kind of let it slip in conversation after church one day.
