if people are laughing when you take things seriously, how should you deal with them

i don't like people to laugh and giggle because i take things seriously usually and i usually get annoyed at someone for doing that!

That happened to me yesterday on SW as some people laughed when I mentioned something that's deadly serious. Sometimes an explanation works, and sometimes you just have to walk away from those people.
