For those of you who were alive in 1979, is there anything that stands out about that year for you?

the Who concert in Dec of '79. i was supposed to go but my friend and i got into a fight.she got into a bad car accident on the way there. The Elton John concert in '76 was just like this but nobody died. i was at that Elton John concert. they wouldn't change their procedures until someone had to die.
