Maybe you are just too busy. Shopping and preparing meals and cleaning up after them is very time consuming. I cook all my own meals, but that means my hands are in hot soapy water all day long! It seems like mostly what I do with my time is wash dishes and cups and pots and pans and casseroles.

If I was living by myself I would have salads for dinner every night during the summer and a soup with lots of veggies & a little meat for dinner in cold months. I wouldn’t cook near the variety of foods that I do now, it would be a lot more simple food.

invite people for supper, I do that sometimes and it forces me to prepare something special.

Cooking is my hobby. I love to have guests, and prepare nice meals and create new desserts, so fun. But very expensive. I am trying NOT to cook 😂

I really enjoy COOKING. for about 6 years of living alone I cooked, invited family & friends round, partners etc it was great. But as time went by it got boring, for about 3 years now I rarely cook. I never have anyone other than my mother here, my lifestyle has changed dramatically.

There are reasons for this.
But effectively I just stopped doing what I used to.

Studying, whilst working has changed that also.

When i moved out i cooked for myself almost everyday, and still do🥦
