Is it irrational to think that if I tell someone things about me, that they'll tell someone else?

I don't know if it's irrational or real.

I'm not trying to share anything crazy.

But sometimes, the " why are you the way you are" question will come up from people.

Some of the people mean no harm and are genuinely curious and I know it.

Even still, I feel that I can't inform them or share with them because they might tell someone whom I don't want to know ( people who might try to manipulate me with their newfound information),

or that they will lose interest.

Why do I care what they think you might ask?

Because certain people have cared enough to inquire about my actions, or lack of sharing/ getting close with them

Never tell anyone anything personally until you know for sure you can trust them.
People love gossip because usually, they have nothing to say in their own lives.
If you can trust them in the little things, then you know you are onto something.
