It's weird when all your friends hate someone and you don't

Does everybody hate Joe Rogan now then? I've always been neutral on the guy tbh,
I feel like people take him too seriously. Like all my immediate friend group hate him, and they also hate Jordon Peterson and talk about judging people who like him. Meanwhile, I'm neutral on both and kinda not wanting to say anything feeling like I have a secret and it's uncomfortable 🤔

I think maybe they're my friends but not my "people"? 🤷‍♂️ We don't have to have the same opinions but I feel like I can't be open with them sometimes or I'll be judged. My closer friends know my opinions and aren't weird about it but the others I dunno lol.

They both encourage free thought, and are notorious for not toeing the line on the liberal worldview. They don't fall over themselves to pay homage to leftist "victims" like transgender people and black thugs.

For these reasons, they have been targeted by the MSM in an attempt to delegitimize both.

@SumKindaMunster I think there is truth in that to a degree, a lot of people want to hear their opinions be expressed or vindicated. I think people get frustrated when he doesn't call out certain people like Alex Jones sometimes on their BS, and that kinda encourages and normalises other weirdos. So I see their perspective to a point.

I dunno about the whole "black thugs/trans" stuff though man lol.

@Ryannnnnn I never have understood why it is so important to leftists that conservative pundits disavow other pundits leftists have a problem with.
Why does he need to disavow Alex Jones? Does Rogan support his views on his show? If not, there is no need for him to disavow someone else's opinion.

@SumKindaMunster It's kinda about how Alex Jones for example spouts harmful theories to a toxic audience that then act upon them. I'm more in the camp that Alex Jones is an interesting and terrible man, he's entertaining and I don't have a problem with that. Theres a level of responsibility that people think he should have considering the size of his platform. I'm kinda on the fence about it, I agree with both.

@Ryannnnnn I don't.

Why are conservative pundits always responsible for keeping each other in check?

I know who Alex Jones is, but have never listened to him in my life. I don't need the culture or left wing scolds to tell me not to listen to him, I have the ability to come to that conclusion on my own.
