**Edit--I am employed.

I have been meaning to set up my 401k since January...

...there was something that I didn't understand how to do online..

Anyway, I start a new job in 3 months, should I just wait til I start the new job?

I have a little money in a retirement account from another job that I need to figure out how to get out...

both. you should start a post tax ira now and do your 401k with new job. you probably won't really be able to do anything with a 401k if you're not currently employed

@stound i am currently employed...
@iamnikki oh. then get your current 401k going and roll it to the new. how long at new before 401k is eligible?

@stound not sure
@iamnikki even without matching money from existing employer, sooner is always.... well almost always better in investing
