@quitwhendone We stayed at a hotel in the French Quarter and both of us had family there. He actually got to meet my mother’s parents. We visited cousins on my father’s side in the 6th Ward and walked through the cemetery by my late grandmother’s house. My Tante Cecile dressed a candle for us. I remember one hot day, we were walking back towards the hotel when it began raining hard. We were drenched and the sidewalk was steaming. But by the time we reached our rooms we were almost dry, so we went in the lobby and had a drink.

@bijouxbroussard Yeah, that's the thing about N.O. It's so hot in the summer that we have flash thunderstorms...heat storms. They can be intense but don't last long. You get drenched if you're out but the sun comes back out bright and strong afterwards. It's so hot, you'll dry off of in less than an hour if you stay outside. You'll smell, though.

@REMsleep Yes, the whole Gulf Coast. I hate it in the summer.

@quitwhendone Haha I can't hate it cuz its my home but yeah sometimes I do get mad at it.

@REMsleep Yeah, it's my home too but I never get used to it and I've been here all my life.
