So...Bowed Down To Social Pressure...
...and we watched the 'Oprah Megs/Harry/Archie/Bump' Documentary today with my other half...
Quite interesting. Kinda sitting on the fence with some aspects and then with others they resonate with me.
Family...friends...and having to move away from an area/social circle that could be seen as 'toxic'. Yes, I totally get. In my case I was totally oblivious to my surroundings until I was encouraged to move....and we made a better life for ourselves...and couldn't see the wood for the trees, so to speak.
So has Harry. And to actually have to choose between protecting your immediate family and your 'family mafia' is a very tough call to make....and I applaud him for taking that decision.
...and I am glad to hear that Queenie (a lady that admire) is in constant contact with them, even if the rest of the family has been.....hmmmm...shall we say a let down? Yes, why not.
It just shows the power of the media, especially the Fleet Street contingent, and all their negatives......forcing someone to have to leave.
I can't believe that the whole mental health aspect was curtailed by the palace....and really, if your loved one is at the end of their tether, you do whatever it takes - professional help etc - but with that, and the whole 'race' thing (which is wholly unacceptable)...I'm not sure....but very glad that the Queen will be looking into it, at the very least.
Yes...thought provoking....especially on Mothering Sunday in the UK...and World Woman's Week....
But...whatever. They're doing what's right for them....and glad it is working for them.
My thoughts...
