Do you get sad fast?

Like someone says something negative or mean to you and you feel like jumping off a bridge?

No. I get sad, but not because of something someone says. I'm feeling sad right now because my granddaughter was just told she has rheumatoid arthritis. She's in her early thirties. It means years of pain ahead of her.

That's the kind of thing that makes me sad. People saying negative things is more likely to make me angry.

That makes sense. Im sorry about your granddaughter. Im sure she'll be ok as long as she has friends and family by her side.

I'm sorry about your grandaughter, and I sincerely hope that she finds medical personnel who are compassionate and help her manage it. My father had it, but now there are new treatment options.

@dreamaway: thank you so much. she does have friends and a very supportive family. She will be okay, emotionally and financially, but physically, it's going to be rough. But she knows I'm here for her. She has great kids and her sisters are good.
