I want to erase the day I had oral surgery by a dentist who was on drugs. He mutilated my mouth. I'm told it will never heal, that there was too much damage. The cosmetic procedure I had has helped it look better, but it still feels very bad. This happened over 3 years ago.

@PhoenixPhail Bummer. Do you know what the dentist was on?
@TBIman No. There was an article in a city paper about it. He was investigated and found to be unfit to practice, and surrendered his license rather than having it revoked. What he was on is a moot point. But it was something that was greatly affecting his ability to practice.
@PhoenixPhail Wow...how disturbing. I am so sorry...

@PhoenixPhail OMG, that's horrible! Medical malpractice in this country is at epidemic rates. They say a conservative estimate is over 300,000 deaths due to medical malpractice each year in America. That's not counting all the life changing mistakes that occur as well. I hope you were able sue his insurance company and receive a large settlement to help you deal with all the problems and issues imposed on your life from his actions.
@goodlil666 None of the 3 medical malpractice attorneys I contacted were willing to take the case. Both of my younger brothers died from medical malpractice. There was no compensation for either.

@goodlil666 Well, the dentist was investigated a year after this happened to me, and the statute of limitations on malpractice suits, is one year. My lawyer told me, medical malpractice cases are almost impossible to win. There's so much evidence needed by the jury that's very difficult or impossible to prove. It's all so crazy.
@PhoenixPhail what happened to your mouth? Was it a wisdom tooth extraction?
@TimingQuasars No, it was exploratory. He thought he would find something at the root of a molar, and when he didn't, he kept on digging. The nerve damage was extreme.
@PhoenixPhail How disturbing! So damn sorry...sheesh.
@SomeMichGuy Thanks.
@PhoenixPhail my gosh sorry to hear that...hope its been better now
@TimingQuasars Surprisingly, it has gotten better over the years. I've been told it will never heal completely. But, you mever know. I'm receptive to its healing. But it still ferls bad.

My anxiety med I take for it is catching up to me. We'll have to talk later.

Thank you for your interest.

Have a Good Night.
