What you say is the quintessence of Continental Baroque poetry. It's called vanitas poetry.

@helenS I hate death though. But I've come to accept it. This mortal coil will transpire and expire. If there was a loving a God like the Christians proclaim. Why subject us to be torn from our loved ones?

@basilfawlty89 You will just go back to where you came from. No reason to hate death, or be afraid of it.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@helenS but it is. I don't want to lose my consciousness. I want to see the loved ones I lost again.

basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Powderflask true. But in my time I hope to meet those I lost. Even if just briefly.

Indeed... so true.. I'd prefer it if it didn't bother coming to greet me for many decades yet
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Adaydreambeliever the same. But I know my time will come. And as hard as it was, I've accepted it.
