Too many young people "over degree'd" for today's workforce. University used to be for the select few with the smarts to follow a more in depth career. Now everyone is out with a wallet full of BA's, (in my language "Bugger All") fighting to serve coffee. More emphasis needs to be placed on pushing companies to hire right out of school and spend the time and money to train a lifetime employee(apprenticeship). Far too much energy is being spent brainwashing our youth that University is the only path to a decent job.

This I can agree with. But who ever thought that something like gender studies would be a money maker in the first place lol

@Flenflyys: Bingo. A total waste of time and resources. I see far to o many students bitching about tuition while drinking 6$ coffees and talking/browsing on cellphones while attending a local "protest". In my day I had to work at a local farm to make beer money. Too many "temporary" foreign workers driving farm wages down imo, but that's a discussion for another day.
