I don't know anyone who watches it.

@InkBot I've just discovered it on the UK CBS Reality channel. Most of the people on it are very amusing

@meggie It's the modern version of public shaming. That's why it's popular.
@InkBot No, those are shows like Jerry Springer or Maury, which have no value at all other than showing how embarrassing people can be. At least Judge Judy was an actual judge and discusses U.S. law (as well as entertains).

@bijouxbroussard Judge Judy is one of the rudest and most disrespectful people I've ever seen on television.
@InkBot I suspect people bristle because she’s a woman behaving that way. A male judge would be considered “no nonsense” and “to the point”.

@bijouxbroussard By "people," you're subtly referring to me, right? I'm not sexist, and it's unbelievable that you would suggest it, knowing nothing about me. My opinion has no basis whatsoever in the fact that she's female. Anyone who behaves that way, regardless of anything, is rude and disrespectful. We're discussing her, however, because she's the subject of the poster's question.
@InkBot I said “people” deliberately; you’re not the only one who’s expressed that opinion, and I do believe that for many that is part of the issue. I didn’t say “you”, because as you said, I don’t know you. But I’ve seen so many interviews that I’m pretty sure she’s just playing a persona on this show.

@bijouxbroussard If I misunderstood, I apologize. Some people, however, will carefully phrase their responses like that for a quick escape if anyone calls them out. I think some even do it unconsciously.
