What do you currently do for a living?

I've in my second year of teaching Human Services, at a local community college. It was a lot more fun until the pandemic happened. Now the campus has been dead, and I all I do now is sit in my office on the computer most of the day...oh well, right? I still have a job so I won't complain.

Arts management. The pandemic has definitely made changes to my work, but I’m glad I still have a job too.

@itsok Neat! Have you had to go to online exhibitions with artists, etc., available virtually?

@SomeMichGuy we’ve had certain artists and pieces displayed online for a few years now, and continue to do so, but we haven’t had an online viewing for a whole collection as an event. I really don’t think it would do well. We’re open to the public again, we were closed for the entirety of April, and closed to the public for the last couple weeks of March. But all of our events were canceled for the spring, summer, and fall. Those events are what bring in the majority of our revenue, and it’s caused a brief spending freeze, and now we continue to be really careful about bringing on new artists, and taking chances on new displays. Hopefully we will be able to continue events soon, as our most popular is usually in the beginning of December.
