Good question. You have a finite amount fo time here. In 100 years no living memory will be left of you. Even the memory of those who had fame or fortune will eventually be lost in time because everything, and I mean everything ends. So what is the point in striving and straining yourself against a clock who’s finish time is not revealed? I would say do what makes you happy. Do whatever doesn’t hurt you or others. Do what you love. Share love. Achieve inner peace. And of course within reason. Don’t be a carpet for everyone to walk on. If learning to be a doctor makes you happy? Do it. If not, don’t. In the end nothing of this world will follow you but maybe, perhaps all kindness you left behind will.
