Weird or what?

Had a sitter of 5 years, she has been very supportive of me but we have not got on well lately.
I did not contact her for 5 months because of coronavirus and me not knowing for sure if I would need her for the rest of the school year. I called her a month ago and she seemed okay but put the phone down after a few minutes and said that her phone had died. I texted saying again, I would not need her for the next school year and that I owed her money and would send it to her home.
This was 3 weeks ago. I did not do so as I got busy and was with my girlfriend. I got a bit of an abrupt text from her on Saturday reminding me she needed it but I was with my girlfriend and did not reply. I replied yesterday and said I also could do with her set of keys back. She did not reply.
Today, I see she has dropped my keys back through the door and not knocked for the money. Wtf? My girlfriend is here and she would have seen our cars so why would she not just knock ?

I don’t blame her. If you do t pay for services rendered why would they continue to offer their service to you? You should have paid the sitter promptly. This is all you.

@TwiddlerofThumbs You are missing the point. The money is here, she chose not to get it
@BluePlanet and the timing was poor. Had she been paid promptly this could have been avoided. Had you gotten the money to her she would likely still be your sitter. 5 months is a long time to wait without going out of your way to get her what was owed. And you still owe her from the sound of it.

@TwiddlerofThumbs As I said, she was at my door. Why not just knock for it?
