Some thoughts on nature of reality...

I think the emotions have an evolved function. Notice that we experience negative emotions when our ability to live well and reproduce is diminished. Positive emotions are felt when those things are affirmed.

Everything that has made it this far to exist, exists because it survives and reproduces. Everything is driven by “the will to life”.

I think our sense of self is evolved too. A creature is more likely to want to survive and reproduce if it sees itself as the centre of the universe, a person, a character, someone important.

This doesn’t have to be a pessimistic worldview. We are all one amazing self perpetuating thing.

I don’t fear death, because I know that life is an illusion.

What set this whole thing in motion and what determined the rules that it plays by I don’t know. That gives me room for faith.
