I witnessed a drowning today

Kind of a tough day. Went fishing up at the Clearwater dam where mom and I used to fish. It's northwest of bemidji. Had just thrown out my minnow when a van drove up and six kids jumped out and ran for the bridge. They jumped in the lake side of the dam and proceeded to slide down the dam.. problem is they've had a lot of rain and there was too much water for them. The big kid got washed over the rocks and started yelling for help. A younger boy dove in for his younger brother who looked to be floating face down. I drug him up on shore and one puff and he was breathing then I saw a girl face down floating down river. The older boy git her up to shore and I picked her up and tried CPR. Her eyes were open but she was blue. Just the Ann Mason showed up from across the road and she took over CPR while I ran to call 911. She got the little girl breathing. By the time I got back down they were working on the Aunt. She had aspirated vomit so they couldn't get a clear airway. EMTs came and took over. Had to help move her up on dry ground for the defibrillator. It didn't work. Ambulance came and a big team worked on her. Helicopter landed and the road was closed off. She was declared dead. There were some older folks that showed up. Family I guess.

Don't go sliding down that dam! And don't eat before swimming.
