So it turns out that masked vigilantism is actually a thing and has been for quite some time.

It's just the reason no one case ever gets so big that everyone hears about it is because they either die or get arrested very quickly lol. There are some very funny wannabe batman/punisher news stories out there.

Will they succeed in beating up criminals? Maybe.

Will they succeed in not being killed or arrested? Probably not.
