Ever hear of noblesse oblige

It is the silly idea that the 'superior' in our midst must do things to help or protect the 'inferiors' in out midst. Thus we have silly things like lockdowns and mandatory masks to keep the 'inferiors' safe from their own ignorance. Of course the big problem is the actual inferiors trying to tell everyone else to wear masks or go into lockdown because said inferior thinks he or she understands 'science' better than others. What tommy rot. The science is by no means clear on how the virus even spreads. What we do know is if the virus was the size of a car the highway it would be driving on (the holes in a surgical mask) would be 50 lanes wide. Oh but don't worry at least the mask will keep your snot against your face.

See the thing is if you could all just go somewhere else then it wouldnt be a problem. You could run your society however you want and all the rational people could run their society how they want.

I mean you would all be dead within a decade or two from plague, mass self-poisoning, and darwinian marathons, but that would be your own faults. And you all get to go to heaven right? So no big deal anyhow. It'd be a win win.

But this is not a perfect world where everyone gets to suffer the consequences of their own ignorance in an insulated manner. Unfortunately, you being a fool can affect a lot of people who were doing their best to keep themselves and others safe.

Therefore wear your damn mask or stay on your property.

Your rights end where mine begin. I have a right to be safe from your foolishness.

@SW-User The problem is that you don't understand science or physics and have no idea that masks have no effect on stopping the spread of viruses. NONE! But you are going to engage your ignorance to insist everyone else keep you safe. How stupid is that? Here is the point. We have a very weak virus that is being blown way out of proportion. We have silly governments passing all kinds of laws based on their flawed (on purpose) understanding of life in general. Let us shut down the economy today. Let us pass mask laws tomorrow. Let us make vaccines mandatory the day after that. Let us make everyone bow before the idol or not have food. There is no end to the evil in the hearts of men and if you think it stop any time soon you are the biggest fool on SW.

@SW-User No one is stopping you from wearing your mask. No government has the right or obligation to say that everyone must wear a mask. If masks work you will always be safe because you always wear them. If they don't work and you get sick even though you were wearing a mask don't blame me for not wearing a mask blame the mask for not protecting you. Stupid people have no idea that masks are useless against viruses. I find that so hard to understand how stupid otherwise intelligent can be.

@SW-User Nice meme. Too bad it made you look like a fool. There has been an outbreak in an extended care unit up the street from me. The staff and patients have been wearing masks for months. The staff is constantly washing and sterilizing and always wears gloves. The staff is constantly checked for the virus and the building is has been in lockdown since Feb. How did the virus get in? Did someone's mask not work? The horror.

Its about mitigation not outright prevention. It slows it down!

@SW-User In normal everyday activity a mask is worse than no mask. Did you know that mold and mildew grows on the inside of your mask after a couple of hours? That can make you very ill. Did you know that disposable masks are bio-hazardous after usage? Unless disposed of properly (properly contained and disposed of by incineration) they serve as a good place for the virus to rest until some one else touches the mask to put it in the garbage. It would seem not. So much for your understanding of science and stuff.
