Do you need proof that wearing masks don't prevent covid?

@SW-User If a virus was the size of a car the holes in a medical mask would be a highway 50 lanes wide. If you think stopping globs of snot prevents the spread then why are goggles now being touted? You are not a very deep thinker are you.

@hippyjoe1955 you get a bucket of water poured at you,or a shot glass of water poured at you. In which case you have more chances of getting soaked?

You get a virus onto your mucus membrane and it invades your cell and begins to replicate. You don't need a million viruses. One will do the job of making you sick.

It won't keep you from getting sick (actually it might increase your risk of getting sick) but carry on. I will sit back and laugh at you. Lets use your analogy. Take a bucket and drill one small hole in it. Hold it over an electrical panel and pour water into it. Tell me when you get the shock of your life.

@hippyjoe1955 some people have covid,wearing masks and reducing the spread. That’s what the masks are for-again- to reduce the spread. The disinfectant on your hands will kill the germs they touched. Not everyone is covid free. That’s why we wear masks. We don’t know for sure. Get it?

@SW-User So you admit the masks don't work. They allow things to become contaminated so badly people merely touching those things will transfer the virus to their eyes.

@hippyjoe1955 no because they are disinfecting their hands. Every shopping cart and basket gets disinfected after every single use too. The mask are keeping people to spreading the virus to others. I feel like im talking to a 12 year old

@SW-User And still people are getting infected. Seems to be something wrong with your approach. Did you notice that Sweden now is doing much better than all its neighbors? No lockdown or masking required. Strange how that seems to work. One could extrapolate from the numbers that masking and lockdowns simply prolong the outbreak but the same number of people will come into contact with the virus no matter what we do.

@hippyjoe1955 remember the flatten the curve thing? That’s how this country did it. Strict rules and enter back into normality through stages. I don’t know what’s going on in Sweden but it worked here. Everyone is back to work almost,nothing got dragged on except schools that closed down until the fall.

@SW-User Yes if you remember it was not about eliminating the disease it was slowing the spread. However slowing the spread does not mean limiting the spread. If you have 100 people get sick from an illness you can slow the spread by having 10 people get sick every day for 10 days or you can get all 100 sick the first day and get it behind you. Let's say that the disease has a 2% fatality rate. Well the group that all got sick day one would have 2 people die the first day. The other group would have 1 person die on day one and another die on day 5. The actual numbers are identical but the group that prolongs the illness prides itself in the deaths per day. Whoopie doo. Both groups have the same number get sick and the same number die. The fact remains that masks don't work as advertised. Silly people can't follow the logic. Oh well.

@hippyjoe1955 that’s not how it works man. Look at the states. The number of infected speeds up as more people get it. Winning time is the issue. That 100 infected in one day will infect 10 000 a week later. The 10 will only infect a hundred and you won time. That’s the key. Don’t wear your mask then,what can i say? The evil bastards control your mind with masks. Lots of logic behind it,you’re absolutely right. I mean,wearing a mask will drastically change your life. You don’t understand the numbers. The hundred will be a million in two months,the ten will be a thousand in two months with slowing the spread. Anyway man.
