I watched a video about the flooding in China.

While most of the information I had learned before the talking head, a Chinese fellow speaking a Chinese language but voice overed into English, talked about how and why the Three Gorges Dam got built in the first place against the advise of all the experts. At the very end of the video he said that 'leftists defy God thinking that they are superior to God and thus transform whatever they want into whatever they desire". I certainly didn't get the impression the man was in anyway a Christian but his words have a lot of truth in them. We see it all the time through out the world. The folly of man, the Titanic the unsinkable ship, Chernobyl the impervious nuclear reactor, and now the Three Gorges Dam. To name just a few in the modern era.

Have heard some speculation that China is wanting to depopulate. Wuhan got flooded from this.

@cherokeepatti If that is their intent the looming food shortages will likely have that effect. China will be very short of food later this year because the farmland in the south is flooded while the farmland in the north is experiencing drought. There have been a number of grain silo fires in China. Speculation is that the managers of the silos have been sending in false reports and when the auditors ask to inspect the silos they mysteriously catch fire.
