Who came up with the term

[c=#000000]BLACK PEOPLE[/c] cause when I look at my skin I see [c=#665D00]brown[/c] not [c=#000000]black[/c]

I'm not sure who, but even for me, as a black man, sounds uncomfortable.

@xSiFiGamer2016x Lot of indigenous Africans would consider the label offensive since the emphasis is on skin color.

@Miram Yeah, and a same time I'm used to it.

Because you grew up in the west. It is normalized and almost everyone is fine with it.

Here in Africa, when someone calls a dark skin African black it is not acceptable. It is kind of devaluing, belittling your whole as human into your color. Of course this doesn't apply to all tribes, ones like mine would just look at the person as if they are a weirdo. Because they don't really call people by their color, same for by their weight or height..they are personal variations.

This applies to brown and white , unless like it is within a poetic flirtish line that includes a simile. The contexts where it'd be appropriate or usual are very limited.

@Miram I actually grew up in the East. All my life, I did.

@xSiFiGamer2016x East Africa? This is cool. You are still here? And what people call you black? That is not normal.
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@Miram I wasn't referring to Africa, I was talking about America. Still, I get what you meant.

@xSiFiGamer2016x haha, sorry
