Is this mean?

I've worked at my job for 9 months. I still have a coworker who incorrectly pronounces my name.

I told him " I really think you do this on purpose. I've been here 9 months. You should know my name."

He claims it's not on purpose but it's just not common and that he's never met anyone with my name.

I said " yes you have met someone with my name. You met me 9 months ago so you should know my name. I'll call you Cameron ( not his name) until you learn my name"

Is that mean?

I mean, if you TRULY cannot pronounce a person's name, then why keep butchering it? Why not just say hey girl, or a simple good morning?

Nah you're not mean, you're assertive. No need to apologize for sharing your concerns.
*But you might be better off ignoring him. If he really gets off on teasing you, the best way to make it stop is to simply have zero reaction. Don't take any shit. Just give him the death stare and ignore him entirely.
