Would you say this is rare?

For a couple to be together for 13 years. The guy (Adrian) has cheated in his past marriage. This time his wife (Jess) cheats on him. She stays with her affair partner and 2 years on is deliriously happy.Adrian is devastated about Jesus cheating on him but 4 months on meets someone amazing and is also extremely happy 2 years on.
Is it rare for it all to work out so well and for the child involved to have not been affected?
