Do your words alone reveal who you wish to be....

Or might your actions prove who you are right now?
hlpflwthat · M
I don't see the or of this.

Not that I'm some rare breed who has merged who I am and who I wish to be in perfect harmony. But don't the two coexist in most mortal minds?
Tibby · 22-25, F
@hlpflwthat Both.... Are one.
hlpflwthat · M
@Tibby So no 'or'
Tibby · 22-25, F
@hlpflwthat Or was the only real question sought.

It's persistent for most.
Imsleepy · 31-35
Perhaps a bit of both, but actions speak louder and if you aren’t actively trying to do/be what you say then you’re only fooling yourself.
Tibby · 22-25, F
@Imsleepy Both speak loudly to the fool whom we often remain.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
I've always let my actions speak the loudest
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Actions are always the proof. Used the right way, words can lift you from place to place

Stealing this analogy from the Irish writer Frank O’Connor: use words like the boy who throws his hat over the wall, then has no choice but to follow it.
