So they're relaxing liquor laws where I'm at

Because liquor is a necessity apparently. I'm not complaining, and I'd agree with that assessment tbh...

Only above 60 proof. Most liquors are 40 proof. @stound
@jackjjackson everclear
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Yep that would be one not included in the term “most” 🤠 @stound

@stound @jackjjackson Let them drink Absinthe!
@Belladonna I have a bottle of absinthe that I’ve had for over a year. I can only drink a little bit in one sitting. 😵

@bijouxbroussard Lucky! Oh man, I can down a fifth in a night. I love the stuff. It's not sold here anymore though. :(
masaca · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard I've been curious about the stuff. Is it good? I'd it the same as they used to consume in the early 1900's? What kind of high does one get from it?
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@masaca It tastes a lot like licorice. It's a somewhat hallucinagenic drunk one gets from my experience.
masaca · 61-69, M
@Belladonna I'm going to have to try it (if I can find it.)
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@masaca I wish you luck. It's awesome.
masaca · 61-69, M
@masaca For me, a little goes a really long way, because it packs a wallop. But licorice (anise) is the overriding taste. Here’s the bottle, with the ingredients.

@bijouxbroussard *drools*
masaca · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard Oh, it's a Brandy. I did not know that. :-)
@masaca Yes, that’s right. I’m told that what makes it different from the old stuff is that they use less wormwood now. That ingredient was very toxic for some people.

@bijouxbroussard absinthe mixed correctly is great! I hear they made some improvements so people don’t jump out of windows after drinking...
@monte3 Lol, yes.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard I see now that you addressed the improvement above. Wormwood just doesn’t sound like a good thing.
