In your opinion, is everyone’s life of equal value?

Carazaa · F
Absolutely! It is unethical to value a young child more than a 90 year old man or a college student more than a crippled developmentally delayed person! That is what Hitler did when he killed who he decided had a better life for society and he killed handicapped, Jews, and homosexuals! The most critically sickgets the treatment! It is not for us to play God!

Yes, each and every person is infinitely valuable.

I think everyone has some value...like there's a base level where every human starts.

But some people sit at that base level and they never go any higher. Serial killers, dictators, and people like that are at the very lowest level.

Then there are people who are amazing and actually accomplish amazing positive things and they do it while still being humble and kind.

So I guess no, I don't think everyone's life has equal value.

Good question tho....something that really made me think, especially in the middle of a pandemic.

In my opinion, everyone is born with equal value, no matter who they are.

Now, how they decide to live their lives as they grow older and mature, is what diminishes or maintains that value.

Like you said, a killer doesn’t deserve the same value as a person who’s done good all their life.

@Frankie1 Yeah, I agree. Babies are innocent.

No. Rapists, pedophiles, thieves, and murderers have no value whatsoever.

Any human life is more valuable than an animal life

No. How do we know everything is equal?

Biologically, certain things are dominating (genetically or physically) while the other certain don't.

I am not talking about ability, or the genetic makeup of a person.
I am talking about value in their lives in general.

For example:

Do you believe that a child’s life is more valuable than the life of an elderly person?
SW-User
@Frankie1 Oowh. My bad. Well, that is tricky. In my opinion, this is more like ethical and moral.

Yes! All men are created equal.... only some are born into more money than others... but their value is NOT dependent on what they have...The ground is always level at the foot of the cross! And all equal to God!!

No. Your value is determined by your social status.

I couldn’t disagree more.

@Frankie1 It’s like hitler killing who he thought was more valuable! Satanic and evil! The most sick and needy should get treated regardless of intelligence or age
SW-User
@SW-User never! That’s terrible.
depends on context.
