What Did You Do For Pi Day?

Has everyone had a Happy Pi Day?

Having grown up in the South, I chose Southern Pecan Pie for my celebration.

Also, having taught math in Costa Rica in the mid-70's at both the Costa Rica Academy and the Country Day School - both located in San Jose at the time, though I know that the CRA has long since moved - and, being fond of the 24 hour, military time, and, finally, knowing pi to eight numbers (3.1415926), I started eating my piece of pie - okay, half of the delicious pie - at 3:09 PM (15:09) and 26 seconds. As I expected, it was delicious.

And, if I had not been overcome with a huge sugar rush, and needing to take our three beagles for a two hour walk in our 24 degree, windy weather - in the Northern Tip of Michigan - though with no snow today, to get rid of the shakes, I would have posted this then.

But, better late than never - Hey?

What did you guys do on Pi Day?

I would never have thought of putting all of those items into a pie/cake, but I love all things sweet, and probably, at age 69, eat ten times the sugar that I should - but that pie looks and sounds absolutely DELICIOUS.

It probably has three times, if not more, sugar than my pie, but who cares; we only live once!

Luckily, since diabetes has a definite genetic component, I have never heard of anyone in either my mom's or my dad's family - going back at least three generations - of having the "Sugars"; so, I lucked out there. Now, blood pressure is another question entirely.

Again, your pie sounds fantastic!!!!!
