The point is to get as close to this man made ideal as possible so that as few people can suffer as possible. Regardless, people will still disagree on what the words equality actually mean and some simply don't care and may even prefer to use such ideals to manipulate and control the masses to their own advantage. Such is human nature I guess.
Oh I 100% agree that suffering is a natural part of life and even about our actions making us who we are. Still, I'm not really too worried about the natural vs unnatural part as I wouldn't be able to talk to you right now if it weren't for totally awesome unnatural sources like the internet. I think I'll start worrying when we start losing things like the ability to create our own suffering as that is when we no longer have freedom of choice or the ability to learn from our mistakes and grow.

Btw, I'd like to point out that if all my wishes came true I'd actually have far more to live for than I do now >_>

I don't think life is supposed to be fair because it dosent make itself fair.we would try to make it fair and unfair things would happen to good people. but I do not believe in equality. we should all be treated fairly not equally,i mena we should be treated equally in one gender and age group. I dont understand how things would work if we were all treated equal I mean they would not be fair, men would get the same amount of maternity leave then women,but it would not be fair, we have to face the fact that the two genders have different gender roles.
Because as humans we can see different forms of power, we may all have our strong points and weak points, due to our history, our body, our age... yet we can all bring something valuable to society.

What makes society progress is individuals that go beyond supposed limits.

Equality is a human construction, or better said, a human illusion/delusion born out of vanity, an attempt to be different from the rest of creatures in nature.

@cierzo:

How's equality born our of vanity? In social animals, inequality is not natural, but the dominant(s) have to rule equally, else coalitions form, and the offender is either killed or overthrown.

Equality is an excuse.

@ZefNinjaa: The "equality" card has been pulled on many a debate. It's a cop out and I wish not to continue further on this topic. 🙂

On this occasion I will because I believe in equality, BUT I do not believe in what people THINK equality is.

life is what you make it

Life is never fair. It will be more unfair if we don't have something to hold on or look for.

Equality will never be perfect but still we need to achieve it. If You're talking about feminism, the recent feminists who have gone too far having their 'rules' against males isn't fair for men. And a few decades ago when there is no feminism, life isn't equal for women. We just need to find the right balance (ps.When there is balance achieved I think it's the end of the world or the world restarts 😬) just take your time, I think it will be there, in a few coming years. Let's not stuck or give up a progress for a good purpose. Hold on.

Basically you are lied to your whole life. Easter bunny,Santa Clause,religion. Makes me question what is reality and who decides it.

You know when... you want to change yourself and at first it feels like you're faking being something else? It doesn't quite match up with your life style and it's new so you feel a bit fake, and then all of a sudden after some time you're not faking it, it's you now. Well it works the same with a society, they need to fake it at first to ever become it. We are in that fake place right now, but soon it'll be natural.

@ZefNinjaa: Well I take the necessary leaps to become a better person, big leaps like that will feel unnatural, because one day you're out drinking and smoking weed, the next day you're taking a calm walk. If you do not feel unnatural whilst doing it, then that only means that you're taking baby steps, nothing wrong with that if that is what you need to do, but I need to take larger steps at once, don't compare that as to be sucking dick.
