I only lived five minutes from school so went home. However there was one school i worked in where i ate lunch and anything with chips got my vote.The cook was very generous with the teachers portions...
I went to boarding school so it was 3 meals a day .My favourite brekky was eggybread and maple syrup still have it now and again .My favorite lunch was homemade burgers in a roll and dinner was beef stew and dumplings .
For the most part, we brought our own lunches, but in middle school we'd get "catered food" once a week and my favorite was the burritos (they came from a Mexican place not far from the school).
Chicken nugget day. Good gravy. It was apparently everyone’s favorite because the line every Wednesday was so long that you had maybe ten minutes to eat after getting those nuggets sent from heaven above.
Fishcakes. They were always bright orange, so probably had some horrible artificial colouring in them, but for some reason I just loved the taste of them.
