Would you be concerned about this?

My boyfriend of 16 months has not been on good terms with his nanny lately. That's why I was surprised when this morning, he texted her at 8AM this morning with 'Merry Christmas Emily 🎄❤🎅. Thanks for all you have done this year.

She replied with 'Merry Christmas xx'

Can't help but dislike the fact he put a heart on it and texted her early. Like she was on his mind and yet he says he does not like her 😕

Am I being unreasonable? I read it as he got up to go to the bathroom

You would at first seem to be unreasonable reading far too much into a Christmas emoji but if your gut is telling you something then it is for you to decide what is real. Many people include heart or hugs emojis and this is not special for them. You should know his normal behavior. Texting her earlier in the morning could be some indication of something but who knows. Did he also text others, or only her?
