How Do You Deal With Feelings of Contempt for The Injustice of the System?

Specifically, the criminal “justice” system, which is anything but just.

I’ve kept this on the back burner for almost 23-years. Suppressed my feelings of anger, disgust, and contempt because the pain of an injustice was greater than the contempt. Now, with all the stories of a “justice” system gone mad – and I call it, the “you scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours” system – all those feelings have resurfaced. I’ve witnessed the corruption with my own ears and eyes. It has impacted my life in a very personal way. And it’s changed my life for the worse because of the bare faced lies of CJS that does not value truth and fairness, only, money, status, and who you know.

I’ve never hated anyone, but I’m hating these liars and rogues who portray themselves as pillars of the community. Hatred is not something I want to feel. It damages me. What do you do with your contempt and disgust at injustice?

Personally, I’d like to round them all up and lock them away for life.

Update: Writing this and sharing my feelings has helped a lot. Also, some of the responses who understand. Thank you. Writing really does help with our feelings of frustration and other emotions.

Got a good buddy in prison for 1 count (1st offense) of indecent exposure. ( Was coming out of shower, with door cracked open and 16 yr old step daughter looked. Pfffft!
Anyway 2 years on an ankle bracelet before sentence. Took a plea deal, judge through out plea deal, and sentence was 22 years in prison. Montana law states 1st offense Max penalty is 6 months in jail and $500 fine. My buddy is going to rot in prison because of a corrupt judge and an ex wife who's dating a cop. 😔😠

@Montanaman I’m shaking my head in dismay at this injustice. And yet a convicted terrorist gets 8-years, only to be released and kill others. Over 20+ years, I have seen child abusers and killers get 2-years, international drug smuggling criminals got 4-years, and probation because they were in the know with the establishment, they had money and status. Kids with a first offense of marijuana get more than a decade, and some have a life sentence. A mother incarcerated for association with a drug dealer. She was not involved in anyway with the crime, it was because she had an association with him —his mother. The prosecutor admitted she was incarcerated as bait for her son, and when he gave himself up, she’d be released. That prosecutor is the one who should be in prison for abuse of power.

I’m really sorry about your friend. I hope he can appeal.
