Do you go out of your way to squash bugs and other small critters on the ground?

One of the kids I teach does this 馃槙 He's only four years old though

There are two things that might stop him? Either teach him more about the insects and how they play a part in the ecosystem so that he starts to respect them and their fascinating behaviour.

Or, try to anthropomorphise them so that he feels worse for killing them. Make him watch A Bug's Life or something. 馃槄

@Pseudonym Those are some pretty good ideas! Ever think about teaching preschool? 馃槤

@SameSame Haha thanks, I've thought about teaching... but at preschool I think I'd struggle with it after a while. It's definitely selfish of me, but I find it much more rewarding to teach kids who are older. I don't think the sort of subjects I love talking about would make much sense to kids at preschool... highschoolers perhaps? 馃槃

Although, I would enjoy doing the occasional lesson as a guest, to perform some fun science experiments, or in the summer get them outside doing a bit of ecology or botany. 馃尶馃惛
