@Portia suffering in love is fate in my opinion especially if we are fooled. I understand it's not easy to forget and that's why the pain lingers. The fallacy lies in thinking about "the one" instead of "one of many" .. but it's easier said than done 🤷

@DIMaverick4 I understand what you say about 'one of many' if both parties are on an equal footing on this then the pain is less but if one believes in 'the one' while the other believes in 'one of many' then there surely is an issue 🤔

@Portia my point is to think of "one of many" as a default mode till convinced beyond doubt about "the one". Even when that "the one" causes us heartburn, we should try to return to "one of many" modes. This is because by thinking of only "the one", we are trying to work against nature's law of free will and almost denying others of their free will. I know it's easy for me to say. But best to care for your heart by plucking it out of "the one" mode .. sooner the better .. again, completely aware that this is easier said than done..
