Unintended consequences with white lies, even social ones. Say you don’t like a certain food but you don’t want to offend your host so to be kind you give her some praise for making the food. Then the next time she serves it again and again.

I gotta disagree. White lies are both a manner of convenience and unavoidable. I mean, for me, imagining being 100% truthful/honest with my professors could be problematic. 😅

They don't gotta know if I think they're awful and the class is boring.
