Dude, they have job security already, Climatology is fundamental research, and critical for practical endeavors like agriculture, etc. Funding for it is not going anywhere - especially now that the situation is obviously, you know, [i]changing[/i].

@MarmeeMarch Yes because it literally makes no sense on any level and fundamentally misunderstands the entire issue and completely misunderstands how the vast majority of research works. And frankly if that is the motivation it would be exponentially more profitable to argue the exact opposite.

You really can't weasel out of the fact that people who study climate for a living are united in telling you that there is a climate crisis, no matter what any politician has said or done.
