@WineandCoffee unfortunately in a capitalist paradigm, investment is directly tied to return, and knowledge has elusive price tag. You just don't know when it will become truly valuable.
Thus with a bureaucracy like NASA, life as it functions takes a backseat to short sighted payback and earnings by life that's not interested in expanding its observation beyond this fragile speck, but rather its own backyard. 🤷🏻♂️
