I don't have a significant other it's just me and the dog. I eat at the table, with a real plate, just feels better and I don't watch TV anyways. The dog has to wait on the rug and off the tile while I eat. Afterwards she checks to see if I have dropped anything.

We always eat together, we eat in the kitchen/ diner ...never use paper plates...our dog sits under the table while we eat...

@Platinum I don't mind our dog being nearby, except that he begs. My husband spends our entire dinner trying to get his dog to sit in his designated space and luring him with treats to get him to stay there. So while I'm trying to have a conversation with him, he's always turned away from me preoccupied with his dog. Makes for a lonely dinner. 😕

I try to, as often as I can. We believe in family dinners. Unfortunately, sometimes I have to work and can't be home for dinner.
