I have seen a lot of women taking there boys and girls into the women's locker room! They take them in together, so how do they separate them once in there! I assume the boy sees a lot of women nude in there! But if a single Dad wants to take his children to the pool for a day of fun, then he is condimmed for doing this! If he takes the boy and girl into the mens locker room! But it's alright for a woman, because society looks at it like, well she gave birth to them! So everyone seems like it is OK! The way things are today I would not send my children into either locker room alone! When I was growing up people looked out for the children wheather they were their children or not, to insure their safety! There wasn't a bunch of crazy people trying to harm children back then as there is now either! We wore our bathing suites under our clothes from home to the pool some times! Then went in the bathroom and dried off took our wet sute off and and put our clothes back on! Put the wet suite in plastic bags, then went home!

well, the fact that it's called a men's locker room seems to suggest that it's for men, not women.. so I'd say never.. it's not a matter of age.. nudity isn't a big deal.. but just that it's for men not girls or women

@Smalljuan ok so when you say taking him.. was that a slip of the tongue? Here even small local public swimming pools have cubicles for just one or two people and/or family areas..
My thinking is.. either it's not a big deal and you shouldn't make it so... or perhaps it's not the best idea to take a female child you don't know well swimming.. there are alternatives.. so unless he's specified he wants you to take her swimming.. i'd wonder why you chose swimming.. perhaps this is a big deal for you... perhaps there's an agenda here?

@Adaydreambeliever sorry that was not a slip of the tongue I am voice texting when I said them it printed him. No I wasn't sure about the older daughter but I am now the two younger ones will be okay with me I believe but the nine-year-old should be in the girls room by herself.

I actually feel it's needed for girls a bit longer than boys, since they tend to have a harder time getting in and out of their swimsuits. When I took my kids swimming, I brought my sons into the locker room with me until about age five. When my husband took the kids swimming, the girls went into the locker room with him until about age six or seven

As long as you bring enough to share, should be okay.

@Lilnonames what would you suggest when you don't have anyone around that can help watch them and help them in the girls dressing room
