Work more that 40 hrs ?

Do you and why ? I read an article online about making extra money this guy wanted to retire early. So he was saying about how he was making extra money by doing things in his spare time. Cus he said most ppl don't work more than 40 hrs. I do it's mandatory where I work plus it's what I need to do my work don't pay well so the overtime is a must.

So the question is do you work overtime and why. For me it's mandatory both Financial and work demands it.

@Kitakat00: I hate the idea of paying tax. I don't want to fund illegal wars. I dont like consumerism either. There have been times when ive had lots of money and ive been less happy than when i have none. The rat race isnt for me

@ZefNinja: good for you. I have a family, mortgage. So I need the extra I feel good working more for my family for our future. I work at lest 45 hrs a week depends on how busy we are and things I my need to do outside of work. My job is also understanding if I need to do things.

This past week I worked 61 hrs. But I missed lime the week before cus I got sick. And my job allowes me to work as much as I want when I want to.

@Kitakat00: I don't have much I scrape by most of the time. With out OT I would loose everything. And I don't have fancy cars or a fancy house.

@Jonjdw: I understand how difficult it is to provide for a family. Long hours cant be avoided for some people. I dont have a family. I only have to look after myself. Im currently un-employed but seeking part time work.

@Jonjdw: I don't have that either. I been where you stood. Nowadays I don't have that much on me so I am able to cut back and enjoy time off. Do what you feel you need to do for yourself and your family. Our journeys are different.
