a survivor in what way? Anyone who is alive can basically say they are a survivor

The slings and arrows..kind of thing of ordinary life? What about bad homes and rape?

@AhBalsic that would imply i was a victim and I refuse to think that way about myself.. each to their own though

I see! I was victimised but I'm strong enough to accept it but not be controlled by it in any conclusive way!

@AhBalsic saying you are not or were not a victim does not mean you don't accept what ever may have happened to you though

No, but it suggests you might be hiding part of yourself even from yourself and thereby being held back by whatever your tragedy was, instead of drawing a line under it and trying to move on wiser by it. Perhaps.

@AhBalsic I disagree. I just hate the term of victim or survivor.. had to deal with some things no one should ever have to go through and I am certainly not in denial or hiding part of myself, I am just more honest with myself about what happened and yeah I don't consider myself either..
that is just me though. I am not trying to demean anyone who says they are those things but that just isn't me.. each to their own
