Before my adoption, I don't remember ever having any toys. After I was adopted I was afraid and having ptsd issues and my new parents (mom and dad) gave me a teddy bear. Daddy was a retired Marine officer so this bear wore a Marine's uniform. He was a gunnery sergeant , named "Gunny Bear". Daddy told me it was the meanest MF'er this side of hell and his orders were to watch over me. It certainly helped. Still have him. ☺️
That made me smile. I used to arrange my kids’ stuffed animals and toy figures in overwatch and ambush positions where they could sound the alarm and take care of any monsters. @TexChik
