Maybe you can blame Trump. But clearly Americans like their firearms more than they love their kids.

@whowasthatmaskedman do you think all these morons would be shooting up churches and killing people of color and certain religions ...to this degree.. if not for that demon?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Fernie Probably not. But he didnt father them. He just enabled the hatred and violence they already harboured. Large sections of America are degenerating into a sick society . A mix of myth, legend and entitlement fuelled by the media and politicians for their own profit. And when some moron is promised the dream and doesnt get his share he looks to blame someone else. Probably with a different colour or accent.
Fernie · F
@whowasthatmaskedman 'JUST?" Just enabled them?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Fernie Yes... "Just" Remember. It took MILLIONS of (very) ordinary Americans to vote him in. They have to take a lot of the blame for this.
Fernie · F
@whowasthatmaskedman I really don't believe that the majority of the people who voted for him expected all of this. Did you forget that Russia got him elected? That Hillary had more votes than he did? That he is NOT LEGITIMATE?
Fernie · F
@whowasthatmaskedman I'm surprised at you...you're really trying to let him off the hook...he's the catalyst
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Fernie Well........ I still think his opponent did more to insure his victor than he did. But next term will tell.
Look. I dont like Trump an more than you do and I have probably disliked him longer. His lack of Morals and Ethics should have kept him out of office and it says a lot about Hillary and the US voters than he got there. None of it good. You want the best person you can get running the "greatest country in the world" Not a shonky Used car salesman.
But in the end it is unhappy people who are on the back end of these guns. And if Trump was the main reason then by rights it should be Democrats.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Fernie Yes. Exactly. A Catalyst promotes a reaction. It was always potentially there
Fernie · F
@whowasthatmaskedman Any awake and aware person knows and knew it was always there...humans are warped...we didn't need him to light the fuse. It didn't HAVE to happen...he turned off the lights and the rats and roaches came out of their hidey holes...it takes a profoundly evil creature to do what he's done
@whowasthatmaskedman What did his opponent do, besides be a woman, to insure his victory ?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard !. She was tainted by personal financial scandal.
2. She ran a remarkably average campaign, ignoring some places she felt were safe "gets' for her and overall appearing to feel entitled, because the Republicans had picked a loser candidate.
3. She promised a continuation of how things had been done before, when the US was just emerging from 8 bad economic years and people were sick of the cronyism, corruption and paralysis that dogged Congress and the Senate throughout Obama.
@whowasthatmaskedman What “8 bad economic years” ? Obama got us out of a major recession ! The unemployment drop that Trump is taking credit for began during Obama’s administration, when it was cut in half ! And cronyism ? You’ve got to be kidding ? The GOP launched an attack on Obama, which they admitted to in their failed plan to make him a “one-term” president, and to destroy the healthcare plan that they still haven’t replaced, 3 years into Trump’s term ! The GOP built an entire further-right wing (the Tea Party) going after Obama !
The difference between the GOP’s antagonism towards Obama and the Dems’ towards Trump is that Obama started out planning to work with the GOP, reaching across the aisle—the GOP never respected that. Trump actually held rallies demonizing the Democrats and vowing not to cooperate with them. He’s still doing that.
And the only thing most of the people who criticized Obama were “tired of” was black faces in the White House. 😤
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard Umm. I agree with every word you just said. Obama didnt cause the recession. And the Republicans obstructed at every turn.
Obama under different economic circumstances would have had a great tenancy. As it was he had a far harder time than he needed to and I wouldnt blame him if he never set foot in the country again after how he has been vilified.
@whowasthatmaskedman But that’s the difference. Barack Obama has just as much right to be in this damned country as that piece of crap, Donald Trump, does. They are both the children of a U.S. born parent married to someone foreign-born. The difference is, Obama’s U.S. born parent was able to trace her lineage back to the Mayflower.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard We are on the same side. I didnt say Obama should leave. Just that he owes America nothing after his treatment.
There is blood on many hands with these events. The rhetoric surrounding responsible owners ...yada, yada..no one is coming after people who obey the law.

There do need to be safeguards in place to prohibit mentally ill individuals access to weapons.

Not a criminals will get weapons...

The name Patrick Crusius is now added to the rest of the others

@whowasthatmaskedman IMHO, Trump is a symptom of all the ugliness that’s always been underneath the surface here in the U.S. The right wing ideas are like poison, and Trump is the boil that needs to be lanced.
