Is gender a social construct invented by big bathrooms in order to sell more public bathrooms?

Public bathrooms? I don't believe there are any such things.
SW-User
@NankerPhelge There are.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User Really? Where? We don't have them in my country.
SW-User
@NankerPhelge I don't know what country you live in and there is an entire world outside of your country. You sound like an American, but there are definitely public bathrooms and toilets there.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User I've never been to America in my life. I'm British. May I ask what countries do have public bathrooms?
SW-User
@NankerPhelge Every country in the UK does...
SW-User
@NankerPhelge I know you aren't an American nor have you been there, that was my point, doofus.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User No, we don't. Can you provide evidence that we do? Have you got a photo of one?
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User You said I sound like an American.
SW-User
@NankerPhelge A picture? You've never seen a bathtub before? How would a picture of a bathroom prove to you where the bathroom is?
SW-User
@NankerPhelge You do sound like an American.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User Of course I've seen a bathtub before, I used my own last night. That's a private bathroom in a private house. I thought we were talking about public bathrooms.
SW-User
@NankerPhelge I was.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User How do I sound like an American? How often do I use American spellings or insert the word "ass" into every sentence?
SW-User
@NankerPhelge You said that something doesn't exist, implying on a global level. Shortly after you said they don't exist specifically in your country, as if your country was representative of the whole world. In other words, like an American. You frakking Yank.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User That doesn't sound like any nationality, it sounds like a frakking Water Sign. I'm a frakking Pisces, so what do you expect?
SW-User
@NankerPhelge Go put some ketchup on a burger or something.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User I'm just about finished eating my sausage, beans and hash browns. I did put ketchup on those. Why have you changed the subject?
*public restrooms or toilets
I believe this is the root of discourse. People will say bathroom even though they mean toilet.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@jetpack Where I come from, if we mean toilet we say TOILET. We do NOT call a toilet a "bathroom" unless there's a bath in there as well, and we NEVER call them "restrooms". If anything, a restroom is a bedroom, whether it has an en suite bathroom or not.

In short, if you mean "toilet", say TOILET.
@NankerPhelge here toilet sounds less appealing so it gets called many things besides what it actually is. It is just semantics really.
This is from Wiki on the subject A toilet, in this sense, is a small room used for privately accessing the sanitation fixture (toilet) for urination and defecation. ... This room is commonly known as a "bathroom" in American English, a "loo" in British English, a "washroom" in Canadian English, and by many other names across the English-speaking world.
A toilet is called many things by many people. To assume that it must only be referred to as "toilet" is rather arrogant and typical behavior of a citizen of the UK.
Good afternoon.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@jetpack Or a bog. Hasn't anybody ever told you to bog off? Well, I'm telling you now, you anti-British troll.
SW-User
@NankerPhelge I changed the subject because astrology is stupid af.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@SW-User No, it's not. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it stupid. Now, let's go back to the original topic of bathrooms. That doesn't include Zodiac signs, it doesn't include ketchup and it doesn't include American versus British. It just includes rooms with baths in them.
