Can someone explain to me why a buyer is obligated to pay sales tax?
We have to pay for purchasing things??

There are 2 types of taxes. The first one is direct tax and the second one is indirect tax.
Income tax, which is the tax deducted from your monthly paycheck, is a direct tax.
Sales tax, which is the tax you pay when you purchase goods or services, is an indirect tax.
