An American war veteran speaks the truth about US foreign policy as he sees it.

“More civilians have died than enemy combatants. Veteran suicides are at all-time high. There are no schools or hospitals being built in these countries. More bombs are being dropped. And terrorist organizations have risen exponentially since 2011. So every goal that we had going in to Iraq and Afghanistan have failed by every single measure.
I never served or provided service to the American people or the people of Iraq or the people of Afghanistan. Who I did serve were the corporations, the weapons manufacturers and the politicians, who benefited their careers off of these wars and off of the lives of my fellow soldiers and innocent civilians,”

The American people want things without having to deal with details. It's like wanting a steak without having to kill and butcher the cow. It's fine to admit to wrongdoing, but I suspect there would be even more complaints if the same thing wasn't done. The American way has always been to quick destroy and only later feel sorry about it.

@ImKelsey I think things are slowly changing. Americans are starting to realize that their government, whether it is the left or ring wing, is a war machine.
It is using their tax money to make certain corporations hugely rich at the cost of human lives.
It would seem that the left and right wing in the US government are controlled by the same bird. It just so happens to be a weapons manufacturing and oil drilling bird and a couple other things.
