I turned to cutting when I was mired in depression..
I cut myself to feel alive or to wonder if I were..
Sometimes I cut to watch myself bleed..
These scars took 17 stitches and lots of butterfly bandaids to close....
Lighter scars have faded over time..
It wasn't about attention.
I had serious issues..
And I was suicidal..
