Could be they are on shaky ground as best friends but how hard did you try to join in. Maybe you needed to join their conversation and not wait for them to join yours. I am just suggesting possibilities as I do not know what actually happened but either way I would encourage you to not forget them over this.

Yea, there is really no justification for people who do this.. sex comes before friends I guess? Hopefully they learn their lesson when that relationship ends, so they don't drop the next friend when sex comes into their life again. 🙄
